The project involves the construction of the 132/11 kV Birauta Substation and a 600-meter 132 kV underground transmission line. The Birauta Substation is planned to address the growing electricity demand of Pokhara City and will be energized through the existing Kaligandaki–Lekhnath 132 kV transmission line. As part of the assignment, an Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) report will be prepared in accordance with the prevailing laws of the Government of Nepal, specifically the Environment Protection Act, 2019 (EPA 2019) and the Environment Protection Regulation, 2020 (EPR 2020).
