Located in the Rasuwa District of Bagmati Province, UT-1 HEP is financed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) along with eight international financing institutions: ADB, AIIB, K-EXIM, KDB, CDC, FMO, PROPARCO, and OFID. The electricity generated will be connected to the national grid via the Trishuli 3B Hub station.
